Bahai.org: How Youth Protected Their Coral Reef

In Tanna, Vanuatu, when a group of youth came across a large clamshell on a local beach, they reflected on the impact of climate change on their coral reefs. Guided by the principle of consultation and collaboration from their participation in Bahá’í moral education programs, they set in motion a community-wide effort to protect their lagoon. With the support of village chiefs and community members, they initiated a conservation project to safeguard their marine environment, showing that unity and small efforts can rejuvenate a lagoon and inspire a community to action.
