Grassroots Storytelling Club

This introductory film for Grassroots Storytelling Club explores storytelling as a tool for strengthening communities and building local connection. I collaborated on the project from initial script interpretation through storyboarding, styleframe development, animatics, animation, and portions of the sound design.

 

The visual language of the film was designed to feel intimate, warm, and community-centered, reflecting the grassroots nature of the initiative itself. Through illustration, pacing, and motion, the piece highlights storytelling not as content creation for mass audiences, but as a meaningful practice that helps communities share knowledge, culture, and lived experience.

 

Created for Bright Moon Trust to support community-led storytelling initiatives and grassroots social change work in Northern Australia.
